How to Express Your Views on Yellow Lines
In July 2016 Kingswells Community Council made comment on a proposal to add yellow lines in Kingswells. You can see the response here. As a result of the response ACC is going out to public consultation.
Notices have been posted around the village advertising the intention to lay new yellow lines. Residents have been invited to make comment. An example notice is included below (apologies for the quality, taking a photo of a curved surface is difficult.)
One way to express your view is by email to firstname.lastname@example.org . You should quote the location of the yellow lines you are commenting on. This may be:
- Kingswood Drive
- Cromar Gardens
- Fairley Road
Submissions will be accepted between 16th September and 7th October.
You can see the paperwork associated with the proposed yellow lines here. (Note: the questionnaire is for KCC use, so you need to also send an email)
One possible solution to the issues we have with parking in the village may be to provide additional parking. Kingswells Community Council will be exploring possibilities to provide additional parking. We are at a very early stage in the process. we are looking at two possibilities:
- moving the on road parking outside the chemist back off the road into a lay-by. This would improve the sight lines and make the road safer.
- provide additional parking on the park land adjacent to the chemist. This may take some of the heat off other areas near the village centre.
If you think either of these alternatives is a better solution to the yellow lines proposed you could request in your submission that alternatives to the yellow lines should be explored.
