Bill hangs up his litter grabber!

After 5 years of sterling service to the community as LitterWarden,Bill Main has decided to call it a day.

Bill volunteered to keep the area around the shops clear of litter and although he was asked to do no more than a couple of mornings a week, Bill could be found at the crack of dawn most mornings, litter picking and generally tidying up.
Although the Community Councilwill bewriting to the shop landlords and tenants with various proposals regarding the ongoing maintenance of the Centre, we feel Bill will be hard to replace – if at all.
We haven’t seen the last of Bill however, as he has agreed to continue as a member of the Christmas tree squad along with Bob Hossack, Norman Abel and StanMcEwan.
As a thank you for his voluntary work, the Community Council presented Bill with a meal for two at the FourMile.
