Aberdeen residents have been urged to take their chance to influence plans for the most significant expansion of the city since the arrival of North Sea oil.
Local authority planning officials yesterday told citizens the next two months represent their best opportunity to have their say on the future growth of the city.
A series of open evenings to discuss proposals for the future development of areas of Aberdeen is to be held next month.
Developers have been invited to attend the meetings to discuss their development options with members of the public.
More than 120 development options for thousands of new homes
city-wide have been received by the city council for sites across the
city.

Developers last night welcomed moves by Aberdeen City
Council to market up to 13 key land sites potentially worth more than
£100million.
Thousands of homes could be built on land now owned by
the council at sites across Aberdeen after the local authority revealed
it was preparing to put them forward for rezoning in the city's next
local development plan.
One property expert said the combined value of the
properties would be more than £100million if they were all granted
planning consent.

The Aberdeen City and Shire Strategic Development Planning Authority
today submitted a finalised structure plan to Scottish Ministers.
The submission - which follows approval of the plan last week by
Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils - marks the start of an
eight-week period when representations and objections can be made to
the plan.
Submissions must be made by the 24 April deadline and should be sent directly to the Scottish Government.
Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire councillors today voted overwhelmingly in favour of the region's new Finalised Structure Plan.
The plan - which lays out an aspirational, 20-year vision for the
City and Shire - was backed by 26 votes to 11 at a special full sitting
of Aberdeen City Council and 59-3 at a simultaneous full council
meeting of Aberdeenshire councillors.
Aberdeen City Council has taken an exciting step forward in creating
a new land use plan for the city, which will influence significant
public and private investment in homes, businesses, infrastructure and
facilities.
The Aberdeen Local Development Plan will set out detailed proposals
for house-building and employment land, along with other development,
for a period of five years.
