Introduction by Chair

Adventure Aberdeen made a presentation on the
proposals for Fairley road school.

There will be a room at the end of
the building for corporate use and use by the community, but this will not be
suitable for the Youth Group and all it's equipment, etc.

There is an area for administration,
a changing room and a briefing room.

The plans are frozen until ACC decide
to go ahead.

Community can access the room when
free in the evenings and at the weekend.

Elaine to get an extension written to
allow the Youth Group use of the facility until building work starts.

The Youth Group will continue to look
for a portacabin.

The ownership of the football pitch
is unknown.

KCC is to receive a copy of the plan
for the modifications.

The Summerhill site may be used by
Tesco or the Police.

The youth group could apply for some
of the activities, which are for groups of 8 people.

There should not be any parking
issues as the people are picked up in a minibus.

The refurbishment should take about 4
months, and may start mid May.

2

Police Report

Police report was received and distributed by email.

Reg introduced some of the City Wardens. There are currently 4 to
cover the A1 area, and numbers will be increased to 6 in time. Two will cover
Kingswells.

The area is covered by wardens in other areas when required.

Main problems are seen at night and at the holiday period.

Fairely Road traffic is being monitored by the police and ACC roads department

The recent
fatalities on the A944 occurred at the junction going to Blackburn

Reg needs
the car registration or a description of the car belonging to the people who
are acting suspiciously in various streets in Kingswells.

Points from
Member of the Public

Members of
the public discussed the Oakbank proposal to move to East
Middlefield.

Ben Reid already
has outline planning permission for the site.

Advice was
given to the residents and residents were advised to speak to Cults Community
Council.

Residents
should send their objections to ACC. Each person is allowed his or her own
objection. All letters should be copied to the councillors and the community
