Service changes - 14th February 2010
Following a period of consultation with passengers and
other stakeholders First in Aberdeen will continue to operate Service
5, 9, 14, 20 and 27 as per current timetables for the next 12 months.
Bob Dorr, Managing Director of First in Aberdeen, said: "We have
listened closely to the views of our passengers and other stakeholders
and decided to withdraw our proposed plans to change these services.
The timetables of all services will therefore remain unchanged.'
He continued: "I hope that customers will support these services over
the next 12 months. Current passenger levels are very low and in order
to make all three routes commercially viable in the longer term we must
see an increase in numbers.
"Over the course of the next year we will be closely monitoring
loadings and will continue to consult with passengers, the local
communities and other stakeholders. We want to build passenger demand
for our services and to deliver those services safely, reliably and to
our timetable.'
From 14th February until 28th February 2010 we are in a period of
status quo. However, after this date First in Aberdeen will be looking
to implement the proposed changes on Services 3, 12, 13/13A, 17, 19,
23, 25, 29 and 40.
The Service Changes Information Day on 28th January 2010 will still take place from approximately 1000 until 1900 hours.
Staff will not be in a position to distribute timetable information but
we will still be on hand to discuss the latest developments and note
comments from our customers.

Thanks to all who contacted First Bus, and a special thanks to Barrie Buchan from KCC and our three councillors who all spent much time putting the Kingswells case to First Bus.
