Councillor Peter Stephen

First Bus will contact KCC via Peter

The proposed changes to the bus service for Kingswells include the loss of a direct link with the village and Summerhill, the University, Woodhill House , ARI and the beach.

This is important as this bus route was a key factor for some residents when they moved to Kingswells.

Full details of the changes are available on the http://www.kwells.org/  and http://www.firstgroup.com/

  • Service 14 will move to a 15 minute frequency and link to Seaton and on to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary every 30 minutes
  • Service 40 will serve Kingswells Park & Ride to Bridge of Don Park & Ride only, and will not serve Kingswells Village
  • At peak times Service 14 will also serve Kingswells Park & Ride.

The concept of a beaver bus which picks up around the village and drops into the Park and Ride was considered. The 14 and 40 would pick up from the P&R. Peter to discuss with First Bus at his meeting.

Peter

The workshop for the cycle path between Kingswells and Bucksburn will be held later in December. Barrie and Ian to attend.
