BYPASS BOTTLENECKS?

To the commuters seething in their cars at Aberdeen's most notorious traffic bottlenecks, the bypass promises to spell the end to nose-to-tail jams on the Haudagain roundabout or inching at snail's pace across the Bridge of Dee.

TRAVELLERS HEAD BACK TO SITE AT CENTRE OF ROW

Rogue Travellers have moved onto land on a city industrial estate.

A group of four caravans have moved onto Hareness Road in Altens, nearby an area put forward by Aberdeen City Council as one of its temporary halting sites for Traveller groups.

STAFF DRAFTED IN TO DEAL WITH ROGUE TRAVELLERS

Extra council staff have been drafted in to a park and ride site after rogue Travellers set up camp. Aberdeen City Council has sent a second member of staff to man the office at the Kingswells car park. Two groups of Travellers moved onto the site last week and were using the waiting room facilities, including the water cooler and toilets. But the office, normally manned by just one attendant, was closed because of security concerns.
