NOTIFICATION OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ON ROADS

Please note that it will be necessary in the interests of public safety to apply the following temporary restrictions to traffic:

(a) Closure

C128C CULTS – KINGSHILL road, between its junction with the A944 Skene Road and Nether Kingshill approximately 300 metres south of the junction.

KINGSWELLS PARK & RIDE ACCESS ROAD, between its junction with the A944 and the lower car park approximately 150 metres north of the junction.

(b) One-way

C128C CULTS – KINGSHILL road, between its junction with the A944 Skene Road and Nether Kingshill approximately 300 metres south of the junction.  Permitted direction of travel will be southbound only.
(c) Prohibition of waiting
 
(d) Weight limit:    
(e) Speed limit: x A944 SKENE ROAD, from a point 250m west of the Ardene House Veterinary Hospital access road, to a point 500m east of the Kingswells Roundabout.  The speed limit will be 20mph at crossover points when contra-flows are in operation.

A944 SKENE ROAD, from a point 250m west of the Ardene House Veterinary Hospital access road, to a point 500m east of the Kingswells Roundabout.  The speed limit will be 30mph when required only.

(f) Any other type:
 

The C128C Cults – Kingshill road will be closed to northbound traffic from 18:30 on 18 January, 2013, until 17 March, 2013, to allow new service ducts and drainage to be installed along with soil nailing to be carried out at the south west embankment at Kingswells Roundabout.

The C128C Cults – Kingshill road will also be closed to all traffic from 18:30 on Friday evenings to 06:00 on Monday mornings on the weekends beginning 14 December, 2012, 18 January, 2013, 25 January, 2013, 1 February, 2013, 8 February, 2013, 15 February, 2013, and 22 February, 2103, to allow realigning of services at Kingswells Roundabout prior to road widening.  An alternative route is available via the C127C Countesswells Road, Springfield Road, B9119 Queen’s Road, B9119 Skene Road.

The Kingswells Park & Ride access road closure will commence on Saturday the 1st of December, 2012, until Friday the 31st of May, 2013.  Access to the Park & Ride will be maintained from the C89C Chapel of Stoneywood – Fairley road, and egress from the Park & Ride will be via the upper car park near the bus terminal.  Construction vehicles associated with the Prime Four development will be permitted to use the access road to exit only on to the A944 Skene Road.

The 30mph speed limit shall be enforced until the 31st of May, 2013, but will only be enforced when required and will be indicated by the use of 30mph signs.

The 20mph speed limit shall be enforced until the 31st of May, 2013, but only at crossover points when contra-flows are required to enable works, and will be indicated by the use of 20mph signs.

The above order will supersede temporary traffic orders 4114 (30mph restriction) & 4196 (20mph restriction) on the 1st of December, 2012.
