Councillors approve plans for new Kingswells housing development

A new development of almost 100 homes on the edge of Kingswells has been unanimously approved by councillors.

Members of the Planning Development Management Committee supported officers’ recommendations to approve the Stewart Milne Homes application for the West Huxterstone site.

Four house types are to be built on the site, ranging in size from three to five bedrooms and comprising: eight two-storey detached; four two-storey semi-detached; 29 one-two storey semi-detached; and 36 three-storey town houses. Twenty two-storey, two-bedroom affordable housing units will also be built.

The main access into the site will be taken from Lang Stracht and a second access will be created at the south-west corner of the site.
