Essential maintenance work will start at two Aberdeen car parks next week.
The repairs, at the Denburn and Chapel Street car parks, will result in a number of parking spaces being unavailable while the work is carried out.
Floors nine and 10 at Chapel Street will be closed from Monday 06 February for up to eight weeks while the roof is re-waterproofed.
The work in section three at Denburn is scheduled to start on Wednesday 08 February and is also expected to last up to eight weeks. This work will involve an inspection of concrete beams in the area and any subsequent repairs required.
Both areas in each of the car parks will be sealed off during the work and there will be no danger to the public. The other areas will continue to operate as normal.
A spokesman for Aberdeen City Council said: “While it is regrettable that parking spaces will be unavailable during this period, this work is essential to ensure the long-term safe and secure operation of these well-used car parks.
“Public safety is of the utmost importance and it is necessary to close off these areas while the work is carried out. We apologise for any inconvenience.
“Aberdeen City Council’s other on and off-street parking facilities continue to operate as normal and details of these can be found on the council’s website.”
