Kingswells Community Council
Election Nomination Form 2018
If you are interested in making a difference in Kingswells then joining the community council may be a way to achieve your ambitions.
The existing members will stand down in October and a whole new community council will be formed. The first step is to complete the attached form. There will be paper copies distributed around local shops and businesses. Kingswells is allowed to have up to 12 full members, but they can have any number of associate members.
Completed Nomination forms should be submitted to Aberdeen City Council as soon as possible, but certainly before 4pm on 27th September. The address is:
If more than 12 forms are received then an election will be held to allow the community to vote on who they would prefer to see in post. If this is required the information on the back of the form will be important to allow the public to make their selection. To date Kingswells has never had to go to election, but over the last few years more community councils do go through this process.
There are two levels of membership depending on how much time you want to give to the community, but if you are interested then you must complete and return a nomination form.
No experience is required. Any training will be provided.
All you need is enthusiasm.
