Introduction by ChairDue to weather conditions representatives and members were advised not to attend if there was concern re weather. Although the meeting was quorate it was decided to hold any major decisions until a meeting that was more representative.

Matters Arising from the previous meeting

 

Walk about – the only action that has been implemented appears to be that 2 lamp posts have been replaced.

 

West 1: SMG is planting some beach hedge.Barrie is to write to SMG re filling the gap in the tree line by the road side, and to ask when the signs are to be removed.

Hydrogen Project discussed last month – Kingswells is no longer the preferred site for this project.

 

Still no word on planning gain for the village hall.

Planning & Environmental Issues
Prime Four Hotel: The planning application was discussed.KCC to try to get the height of the building reduced.

Barrie is to contact Historic Scotland to make them aware of the hotel.

KCC note that the traffic around Kingswells is bad at the moment at peak times.
The old Lang Stracht work installing a green pipe is part of the Prime 4 development work.
The lights at the shops go off when the Coop shuts at night and they do not come on again until about 07:45. KCC is concerned about the safety of this arrangement.
Stan has spoken with residents at Fairley Road re a connecting footpath with West 1 development. They are older members of the community and they don’t want disturbed with through traffic.KCC is not to pursue the footpath.

Next meeting will be on Monday 11th February 2013 in coffee shop of Kingswells Community Centre. Meeting closed at 21.30.
