2 Police Report
Police report was received by email.3 cars were broken into. One was secure the other two were unlocked. There were items on open display, which may be the reason the vehicles were targeted.
There is a temporary one-way system to accommodate traffic from the circus. This may result in additional traffic through the village.

6 Matters Arising from the previous meeting
 

Japanese Knotweed continues to be an issue. ACC is aware and they will appoint a contractor to eradicate.

 

Ian is to email David to get an update on the Fairley Road Field.

7 Planning & Environmental Issues
Statoil planning application will be coming up soon.
There was a query about when the hotel would open. Ian is to check with Drum.Post meeting note: The hotel should open in December.
There was a report that vehicles were using the Home Farm access road by the Prime Four development.Post Meeting Note: Drum report that the Home Farm access is still being used for fit out activity in Premier Oil. Ultimately, it will be used only for:

  • access and egress for emergency vehicles; and
  • access to and from Home Farm for the owners of the farm house.

Steps will be taken in due course (bollards or the like) to avoid abuse

8 Accounts
There was $6 expenditure for software for the website.
9 AOCB
  There was a report that the fence by the school playground was noisy when struck by balls etc.
  The Community Council Forum reported that Councillor Willie Young wants to change the community council boundaries to coincide with ward boundaries. This will result in the number of Community Councils being reduced to 13. The Forum would like to gather views from all community councils.
  There was a report that Concraig Park does not receive the Kingswells Community News. The circulation will be checked when Sue returns from holiday. Ian
  A resident reported that they had trouble with dogs that were being exercised in a local park and the dogs were allowed to jump garden walls and access a private garden. KCC suggested talking to the owners of the dogs, and the use of hedging as a long term fix. Short-term use of mothballs may discourage dogs.
